About The Funding

VITAL is a fully funded €2.56 million project funded by the INTERREG IVA Programme for Northern Ireland and the Border Region of Ireland with match funding from the accountable departments in Ireland North and South. The programme is a European Union supported Structural Funds Programme which seeks to address the economic and social problems which result from the existence of borders. It supports strategic cross-border co-operation for a more prosperous and sustainable region.

The objective of INTERREG IVA is to help regions of Europe work together to share their knowledge and experience, strengthening and deepening cross border cooperation and supporting strategic plans to maximise the impact of the funds.
